The education of our children so they may learn to read and recite the Qur’an and receive instruction in age-appropriate Islamic topics is an obligation upon us as a community.
Classes for the Islamic Sunday School for the School Year 2025-2026 will begin on Sunday September 14th 2025 through May 10th 2026.
The Calendar includes :
- 2 weeks off within the last 10 nights of Ramadan and Eid 2026 , along with additional breaks aligned with public school holiday schedules (ie: November 30th 2025, December 28th 2025 and January 4th 2026)
Sunday School is open to children between the ages of 5 and 16.
- Students will be placed in one of four levels based on their knowledge. Our curriculum includes Qura’an, Seerah, and Islamic Studies.
- Individuals over the age of 16 who are interested in participating are encouraged to get involved through volunteering or by reaching out about potential class opportunities for older youth.
There will be an annual fee of $50 per child or $100 per family.
The fees cover the entire school year (2025-2026 academic calendar) and will provide for books, lunches, and special activities for your child(ren).
Location: 10 Cayuga Vista Dr, Lansing, NY.
Timing: 10:30 am – 1:30 pm (every Sunday, unless announced)
Dropoff Time 10:15AM

Quranic Studies
- The Understanding of the meanings of Quran verses (tafseer)
- Hifd of Quran verses (memorization)
- Quran recitation and tajweed (rules)
Islamic Studies
- The fundamental of Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism/ unity of Allah)
- The fundamental Beliefs of Islam
- Moral and Ethical values in Islam
- Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions
- Stories of Prophets
- Essential Practices (Fiqh of ‘ibaadah)
